Gateshead Local Studies has over 10,000 photographs of Gateshead dating from 1860 to the present day.
For the past 18 months project staff and volunteers at Gateshead Central Library have been digitising and conserving the photographs thanks to support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Over 4000 photographs have been digitised and are now accessible on the iSee Gateshead website at
